Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize on-premise and cloud-based server environments including Linux/Windows systems
- Implement and maintain security protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
- Oversee network infrastructure including routers, switches, and VPN configurations
- Develop automation scripts for system monitoring and patch management
- Provide Level 3 technical support and lead disaster recovery initiatives
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipeline integration
- Document system configurations and maintain compliance standards
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in system administration with Linux/Windows environments
- Expertise in virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Strong understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Certifications in CompTIA Server+, Linux+, or MCSE preferred
- Experience with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
- Proven track record in implementing security best practices
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required
