Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of servers, networks, and hardware to ensure 99.9% uptime and optimal performance.
- Cloud Administration: Manage and optimize cloud environments (AWS/Azure) including virtual machines, storage, and networking components.
- Security & Compliance: Implement and enforce security protocols, perform vulnerability assessments, and manage firewalls to protect sensitive data.
- System Automation: Develop scripts and automation tools using Python or Bash to streamline IT processes and reduce manual errors.
- Disaster Recovery: Design and maintain robust backup and disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime during system failures.
- Technical Support: Serve as a Tier 2/3 escalation point for complex technical issues and provide mentorship to junior IT staff.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of experience as a System Administrator or Network Engineer in a Windows and Linux environment.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (equivalent experience accepted).
- Cloud Expertise: Strong proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Scripting: Solid knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, or Bash) for automation tasks.
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+, RHCE, or equivalent certifications are highly preferred.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.
