Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain on-premise servers, virtualization environments (VMware/Hyper-V), and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure).
- Implement and enforce security protocols, including firewalls, access controls, and encryption standards.
- Monitor system performance and uptime using advanced monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Datadog) to proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Automate routine tasks and workflows using scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell to increase operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with the development team to ensure seamless deployment of applications and software updates.
- Provide Tier 3 technical support and mentor junior system administrators.
- Conduct regular backups, disaster recovery testing, and data integrity checks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a System Administrator or in a similar IT role.
- Strong proficiency in Linux (RHEL/CentOS) and Windows Server administration.
- Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy management.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, AWS Solutions Architect, or VMware VCP are highly preferred.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with a strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VPN, VLANs).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders.
