Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Linux/Windows server environments across on-premises and AWS/Azure cloud platforms
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement proactive solutions for high availability
- Manage network infrastructure including firewalls, load balancers, and VPN configurations
- Automate deployment processes using Ansible, Terraform, and PowerShell scripts
- Ensure compliance with SOC 2, HIPAA, and NIST security standards
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and containerization with Docker/Kubernetes
- Document system configurations and create disaster recovery plans
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years administering enterprise-level Linux and Windows Server environments
- Expertise in AWS/Azure services (EC2, S3, VPC, Active Directory) and hybrid cloud integration
- Strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation
- Certifications in CompTIA Server+, AWS SysOps, or Microsoft Azure preferred
- Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, Datadog) and infrastructure-as-code
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex network and system issues
