Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Windows/Linux server environments across hybrid cloud infrastructure
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and optimize resource utilization
- Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and VPN services with zero-downtime protocols
- Implement robust security measures including firewall rules, access controls, and compliance auditing
- Coordinate disaster recovery testing and business continuity planning initiatives
- Automate routine tasks using PowerShell, Ansible, and Terraform
- Document infrastructure changes and maintain comprehensive system documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years administering Windows Server 2019/2022 and Ubuntu/RHEL environments
- Expertise in virtualization (VMware vSphere/KVM) and container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, VLANs, and load balancing
- Certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, Linux+, or CompTIA Server+ required
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and IaaS/PaaS solutions
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python/PowerShell) and infrastructure-as-code tools
- Ability to work flexible hours including on-call rotations
