Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Windows/Linux server environments including Active Directory, VMware, and Azure cloud infrastructure
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement proactive security measures
- Manage backup/DR solutions and ensure 99.9% uptime for critical business applications
- Automate routine tasks using PowerShell, Ansible, and Terraform for operational efficiency
- Collaborate with network and security teams to maintain compliance with NIST and PCI standards
- Document processes and create runbooks for system maintenance and incident response
- Lead infrastructure projects including migrations, upgrades, and capacity planning
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise system administration with Windows Server 2019+ and Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu)
- Expertise in virtualization (VMware vSphere) and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS)
- Certifications: CompTIA Server+, MCSE, or equivalent Linux certification required
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash) and infrastructure-as-code experience
- Proven track record of designing secure, scalable infrastructure solutions
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with experience in root cause analysis
- Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
