Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Linux/Windows server environments including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and virtualization (VMware)
- Monitor system health using tools like Nagios, Zabbix, or SolarWinds; proactively resolve performance bottlenecks
- Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) including EC2, S3, VPC, and IAM configurations
- Execute security protocols: patch management, vulnerability scanning, firewall rule optimization, and compliance audits
- Develop automation scripts (Python/PowerShell) for deployment, monitoring, and backup procedures
- Coordinate disaster recovery testing and business continuity planning
- Provide Tier-3 technical support and mentor junior team members
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years administering enterprise Windows Server and Linux environments
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) with certification preferred
- Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VPNs, load balancers)
- Experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines
- ITIL/ITSM certification or equivalent operational framework knowledge
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with system monitoring tools
- Strong written communication for documentation and stakeholder updates
