Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Windows/Linux servers, virtualization environments (VMware), and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Implement and monitor security protocols, including firewalls, encryption, and access controls
- Perform system upgrades, patch management, and disaster recovery testing
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate deployment pipelines using CI/CD tools
- Troubleshoot complex network issues and provide 24/7 on-call support
- Document IT policies, procedures, and system configurations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (5+ years experience accepted)
- Expertise in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and IP management
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, Bash)
- Certifications: CompTIA Server+, Linux+, or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator
- Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix) and ticketing systems (Jira)
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
