Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Windows/Linux server environments (Active Directory, VMWare, AWS)
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure 99.9% uptime
- Manage cloud infrastructure including AWS EC2, S3, and networking components
- Implement security protocols, patch management, and compliance standards (HIPAA, SOC2)
- Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell, Python, and Ansible
- Provide Tier 3 support and documentation for IT systems
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on system administration experience
- Expertise in Windows Server, Linux, and virtualization technologies
- Strong knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, firewalls)
- Certifications: CompTIA Server+, MCSA, or AWS Certified Solutions Architect
- Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
