Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize Windows/Linux server environments (Active Directory, VMware, Azure)
- Implement and maintain security protocols including firewalls, VPNs, and access controls
- Monitor system performance using tools like Nagios and SolarWinds
- Coordinate disaster recovery and business continuity planning
- Automate administrative tasks using PowerShell and scripting
- Provide Tier-3 support for network and storage systems
- Document IT processes and maintain configuration databases
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of enterprise system administration experience
- Expertise in Windows Server 2019/2022 and Linux (RHEL/CentOS)
- Certifications in CompTIA Server+, MCSA, or VMware preferred
- Strong knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and hybrid architectures
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
