Apex Infrastructure Group is looking for a Senior System Administrator to lead our IT operations in Phoenix. We are a rapidly growing enterprise committed to delivering top-tier infrastructure support.
In this role, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our server and network infrastructure. You will ensure high availability, security, and performance of our critical systems. Responsibilities
- Oversee the management of physical and virtual servers, including Windows Server and Linux distributions (RHEL, CentOS).
- Design and implement robust backup and disaster recovery solutions to protect corporate data.
- Configure and secure network devices, including firewalls, routers, and switches.
- Automate administrative tasks using scripting languages (Python, Bash, or PowerShell) to streamline operations.
- Conduct regular system audits, patch management, and security assessments to mitigate risks.
- Provide Level 3 technical support and mentor junior administrators.
- Collaborate with cloud providers to optimize infrastructure costs and performance.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience in System Administration or IT Engineering.
- Deep expertise in Linux administration and Windows Server management.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is highly desirable.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, RHCE, or VCP are a plus.
- Excellent knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and virtualization technologies.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a focus on uptime and security.
