Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Linux/Windows server environments including virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V)
- Proactively monitor system health using tools like Nagios/Zabbix and optimize performance
- Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and enterprise-level network infrastructure
- Develop automation scripts (Python/PowerShell) for routine maintenance tasks
- Coordinate disaster recovery plans and conduct regular security audits
- Provide Tier-3 support for complex system issues and user escalations
- Document infrastructure changes and maintain compliance with SOX/HIPAA standards
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on system administration experience in enterprise environments
- Expertise in Linux (RHEL/CentOS) and Windows Server (2016+) administration
- Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs)
- Certifications in CompTIA Server+, Linux+, or Microsoft Azure preferred
- Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and IaaS/PaaS concepts
- Experience with backup solutions (Veeam, Rubrik) and storage systems
- Ability to troubleshoot complex issues under tight deadlines
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent technical experience
