Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Windows/Linux servers, virtualization environments (VMware/Hyper-V), and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure)
- Implement robust security protocols, patch management, and disaster recovery procedures
- Monitor system performance using tools like Nagios, Zabbix, or SolarWinds
- Provide Tier-3 support for complex technical issues and user escalations
- Automate administrative tasks using Python, PowerShell, or Bash scripting
- Document system configurations, processes, and standard operating procedures
- Collaborate with network and security teams on integrated IT initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on system administration experience in enterprise environments
- Expertise in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and enterprise networking
- Strong proficiency with virtualization technologies and cloud platforms
- Certifications (CompTIA Server+, Linux+, AWS Certified SysOps Admin) preferred
- Experience with backup systems (Veeam, Commvault) and storage solutions
- Exceptional troubleshooting skills with root-cause analysis capabilities
- Strong written/verbal communication and documentation abilities
