Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Windows/Linux servers, virtualization environments (VMware), and cloud infrastructure (AWS)
- Implement and monitor security protocols, including firewalls, VPNs, and access controls
- Perform system backups, disaster recovery testing, and incident response
- Automate administrative tasks using scripting (PowerShell, Bash) and configuration management tools
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy new applications and services
- Document system configurations and create technical documentation
- Monitor system performance and optimize resource utilization
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in system administration with Windows and Linux
- Certifications: CompTIA Server+, Linux+, or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator preferred
- Strong knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and storage systems
- Experience with virtualization (VMware vSphere) and cloud services (AWS)
- Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
