Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize Windows/Linux server environments including Active Directory, VMware, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Implement and maintain robust security protocols, ensuring compliance with NIST and industry standards
- Oversee network infrastructure including firewalls, VPNs, and enterprise-grade switches
- Lead disaster recovery planning and execute system backups/restores with 99.9% SLA
- Automate workflows using PowerShell/Python and configuration management tools (Ansible)
- Provide Tier-3 support and mentor junior IT staff
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipeline optimization
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in enterprise system administration with hybrid cloud exposure
- Certifications: CompTIA Server+, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, or Microsoft Azure Administrator
- Expertise in Windows Server 2019/2022 and Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu)
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell/Python/Bash)
- Experience with virtualization (VMware ESXi/KVM) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex network and system issues
- Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
