Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Linux/Windows server environments (VMware, Hyper-V)
- Manage cloud infrastructure including AWS EC2, S3, and VPC configurations
- Monitor system performance using Nagios/Zabbix and optimize resource utilization
- Implement cybersecurity protocols including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and access controls
- Lead disaster recovery planning and execute regular backup/restore tests
- Document IT processes and create technical SOPs for team alignment
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipeline integration
Qualifications
- 5+ years in enterprise system administration with Linux/Windows expertise
- Advanced certifications (CompTIA Server+, AWS SysOps, or MCSE)
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration
- Strong network fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs)
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks (SOX, HIPAA, PCI-DSS)
- Excellent problem-solving and cross-functional communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
