Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize Linux/Windows server environments across on-premises and cloud platforms
- Implement and maintain robust security protocols including firewalls, encryption, and access controls
- Monitor system performance using tools like Nagios and Zabbix, proactively resolving issues
- Coordinate disaster recovery planning and execute regular system backups
- Document IT infrastructure and create SOPs for operational procedures
- Lead cross-functional projects for system upgrades and migrations
- Provide Tier 3 technical support and mentor junior team members
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in system administration with enterprise environments
- Expertise in Active Directory, VMware, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Strong scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash)
- Relevant certifications (CompTIA Server+, Linux+, or MCSA preferred)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code tools
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and communication skills
