Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Windows/Linux servers, virtual environments (VMware), and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Implement security protocols, vulnerability patches, and disaster recovery procedures
- Monitor system performance using tools like Nagios and Splunk
- Automate workflows with PowerShell and Ansible
- Provide Tier 3 support for complex infrastructure issues
- Document SOPs and maintain configuration management databases
- Collaborate with DevOps on CI/CD pipeline optimization
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of enterprise system administration experience
- Expertise in Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and IP management
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python)
- Experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) preferred
- Relevant certifications (CompTIA Server+, Linux+, or MCSA)
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and documentation abilities
- Ability to work flexible hours for system maintenance windows
