Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Linux/Windows server environments and cloud infrastructure
- Proactively monitor system health using tools like Nagios and Zabbix to prevent downtime
- Automate deployment processes using Ansible and Terraform for efficiency
- Manage virtualization platforms (VMware/KVM) and container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Implement security protocols including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and access controls
- Document system architecture and provide technical training to junior staff
- Coordinate disaster recovery testing and business continuity planning
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience (5+ years)
- Expertise in Linux administration (RHEL/Ubuntu) and Active Directory
- Advanced knowledge of AWS/Azure and hybrid cloud architectures
- Certifications in CompTIA Server+, AWS SysOps, or equivalent
- Proficient in scripting (Python/Bash) and infrastructure-as-code tools
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Strong troubleshooting skills for network and storage systems
- Excellent written communication for documentation and stakeholder updates
