Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Windows/Linux servers, virtualization environments (VMware), and cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure)
- Implement and monitor security protocols, including firewalls, encryption, and access controls
- Perform system backups, disaster recovery testing, and incident response procedures
- Automate deployment and configuration management using Ansible/PowerShell
- Collaborate with network engineers to ensure seamless connectivity
- Document system configurations, processes, and technical documentation
- Provide Level 2/3 technical support and training for internal stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in system administration with Windows Server and Linux environments
- Strong proficiency in virtualization (VMware vSphere) and cloud platforms
- Certifications (CompTIA Server+, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, or equivalent) preferred
- Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash)
- Knowledge of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
- Strong communication skills for cross-departmental collaboration
