Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of on-premise servers and cloud environments (AWS/Azure), ensuring high availability and performance.
- Security & Compliance: Implement and maintain security protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems to protect organizational data and assets.
- System Administration: Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows Server and Linux operating systems, Active Directory, and virtualization platforms (VMware/Hyper-V).
- Network Support: Monitor network traffic, diagnose connectivity issues, and collaborate with vendors for hardware upgrades or repairs.
- Automation & Scripting: Develop and maintain PowerShell and Bash scripts to automate routine administrative tasks and improve efficiency.
- Backup & Disaster Recovery: Manage backup solutions and conduct regular restoration tests to ensure business continuity.
- Technical Leadership: Mentor junior IT staff and provide Tier 3 support for complex technical inquiries.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a System Administrator or Network Engineer.
- Operating Systems: Strong proficiency in both Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and Linux (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu).
- Networking: Deep understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and routing protocols.
- Scripting: Expertise in PowerShell and/or Bash scripting for automation.
- Certifications: CompTIA Server+, Network+, CCNA, or similar certifications are highly preferred.
- Problem Solving: Excellent troubleshooting skills with a focus on root cause analysis.
- Communication: Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear instructions for non-technical stakeholders.
