Role Overview:
The Senior System Administrator will manage, maintain, and upgrade critical IT infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to support business applications and ensure high availability of all systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain complex network infrastructure and server environments (Windows Server, Linux).
- Oversee day-to-day IT operations, including server maintenance, patching, and troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Implement and manage security protocols, firewalls, and VPNs to protect sensitive organizational data.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate deployment processes and improve system performance.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and identity management systems within Active Directory.
- Conduct regular system audits, performance tuning, and disaster recovery planning.
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior system administrators and IT staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in System Administration or IT Support.
- Strong proficiency in Windows Server and Linux environments.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Deep understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and Active Directory.
- Familiarity with scripting languages like Python or Bash is a plus.
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification is preferred.
