Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain Windows/Linux server environments including Active Directory, VMware, and cloud infrastructure
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure 99.9% uptime SLAs
- Manage backup/recovery solutions and implement cybersecurity best practices
- Automate deployment processes using PowerShell, Ansible, or Terraform
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align IT strategy with business objectives
- Document procedures and provide technical guidance to junior staff
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Windows Server and Linux administration
- Expertise in virtualization (VMware ESXi/KVM) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Python, or Bash)
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification required
- Proven experience with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and firewalls
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
