Role Overview:
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for architecting, developing, and maintaining high-availability software systems. You will lead the technical strategy for our weekend maintenance windows, ensuring seamless deployments and zero downtime. Your code will directly impact millions of users, and your expertise will guide junior developers and shape our technical culture.
Responsibilities
- Architect & Deploy: Design and implement scalable software solutions for critical backend services and frontend applications, focusing on robustness and security.
- Weekend Operations: Lead and execute complex system maintenance, patching, and release cycles during designated weekend shifts to minimize production impact.
- Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using modern languages and frameworks (e.g., TypeScript, Python, Go) adhering to strict coding standards.
- Collaboration: Partner with product managers and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliverables.
- Optimization: Analyze system performance bottlenecks and implement optimization strategies to improve application speed and resource efficiency.
- Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, conducting code reviews and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Incident Response: Participate in on-call rotations to troubleshoot and resolve critical issues efficiently.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience: 5+ years of professional software development experience with a proven track record of shipping high-quality products.
- Tech Stack: Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, React, or Python. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) is required.
- Database: Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis).
