Responsibilities
- Architect & Develop: Design and implement scalable backend services and microservices to handle millions of transactions.
- Weekend Operations: Oversee critical maintenance windows, system patches, and database migrations to ensure 99.99% uptime.
- Code Quality: Lead code reviews, enforce architectural standards, and mentor junior developers on best practices.
- Performance Tuning: Analyze system bottlenecks and optimize database queries and application performance during peak load times.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Product Managers and QA Engineers to define feature requirements and deliverables.
- Security: Implement security protocols and conduct vulnerability assessments to protect sensitive user data.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Experience: 5+ years of professional software development experience, specifically in high-scale production environments.
- Stack: Proficiency in Python, Java, or Go, with experience in AWS or Azure.
- Database: Strong expertise in PostgreSQL or MongoDB.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday) on a rotating schedule.
- Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work autonomously in a remote-first culture.
