Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Java/Spring Boot
- Implement RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
- Optimize database performance with PostgreSQL and Redis
- Lead weekend sprint planning and code reviews
- Debug and resolve production issues with AWS cloud infrastructure
- Mentor junior engineers through pair programming sessions
- Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements
Qualifications
- 5+ years of software development experience with Java/Python
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and containerization
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Weekend availability (Sat-Sun 8AM-5PM PST)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Proficient in Git, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Experience with fintech or high-transaction systems preferred
