Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable backend services for financial transaction systems
- Lead code reviews and mentor junior engineers on weekend rotation team
- Optimize database performance for high-availability APIs
- Implement security protocols for PCI-compliant payment processing
- Collaborate with product teams to define technical roadmaps
- Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements for rapid deployments
- Participate in on-call rotation for critical system issues
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in backend software development
- Expertise in Go, Python, or Java with microservices architecture
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)
- Experience with distributed systems and database optimization
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Proven track record of delivering production-grade systems
- Familiarity with fintech regulations (PCI-DSS, SOX)
