Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy high-availability backend services using Java/Python
- Lead weekend deployments and incident response for production systems
- Mentor junior engineers through pair programming and code reviews
- Optimize database performance and implement CI/CD pipelines
- Collaborate with UX teams to translate requirements into technical specifications
- Contribute to architectural decisions for microservices infrastructure
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of software development experience with Java/Python
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Strong proficiency in relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and caching strategies
- Experience with agile methodologies and JIRA/Confluence
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts with minimal supervision
