Responsibilities
- Design and implement high-performance backend services using Java/Python
- Lead weekend sprint planning and stand-ups
- Optimize cloud infrastructure on AWS/GCP
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on API development
- Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements
- Conduct rigorous code reviews and testing
- Document technical specifications and architecture
Qualifications
- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- Expertise in microservices architecture
- Strong proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Weekend availability (Sat/Sun 6am-2pm EST)
- Experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Agile/Scrum methodology certification preferred
- Portfolio demonstrating complex system design
