Responsibilities
- Lead and execute critical software deployments, system patches, and maintenance activities during designated weekend shifts.
- Monitor system health, performance metrics, and logs to proactively identify and resolve potential issues before they impact users.
- Collaborate with the core engineering team to troubleshoot complex application errors and optimize backend performance.
- Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code while adhering to strict coding standards and architectural patterns.
- Conduct thorough code reviews and provide technical mentorship to junior developers to ensure code quality.
- Automate deployment pipelines and CI/CD workflows to increase efficiency and reduce manual errors.
- Document technical processes and system configurations to ensure knowledge transfer and continuity.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, preferably in a high-volume, high-availability environment.
- Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Python, Java, Go, or C++).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Deep understanding of database management systems (SQL, NoSQL) and data modeling.
- Proven ability to work independently and efficiently during weekend shifts, demonstrating strong time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
