Role Overview

Responsibilities
- Lead weekend maintenance windows, including code deployments and patch management for production environments.
- Monitor system performance metrics and proactively troubleshoot complex issues to ensure 99.99% uptime.
- Collaborate with the 24/7 on-call engineering team to resolve escalations and implement immediate fixes.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers on best practices for scalable architecture.
- Automate infrastructure tasks using scripting languages (Python, Bash) to reduce manual workload.
- Participate in architectural planning for future tech stack upgrades and system migrations.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong focus on backend systems.
- Proficiency in at least two major programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, Go, or C++).
- Deep understanding of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently during off-hours.
- BS/MS in Computer Science or a related technical field.
