Responsibilities
- Design & Development: Architect and develop high-performance, scalable backend services and microservices using modern languages (Java, Python, Go).
- Night Shift Operations: Participate in critical night shift rotations to ensure 24/7 system stability, monitoring, and immediate incident response.
- System Optimization: Analyze system bottlenecks, optimize database queries, and refactor legacy code to improve performance and reduce latency.
- Cloud Infrastructure: Manage and deploy applications on AWS or Azure, ensuring best practices for security and scalability.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product Managers, QA Engineers, and Designers to deliver feature-rich solutions on tight deadlines.
- Code Reviews: Conduct rigorous code reviews to maintain high code quality and foster knowledge sharing within the team.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years of professional software development experience with a strong track record of shipping products.
- Tech Stack: Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, Python, or Node.js. Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Cloud Knowledge: Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and experience with AWS or Azure.
- Night Shift Availability: Must be willing to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends, based on business needs.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
