Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-native applications using Python/Java and AWS/GCP
- Lead code reviews and implement CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and Jenkins
- Mentor junior engineers through pair programming and architectural discussions
- Optimize system performance and implement security best practices
- Collaborate with Product Managers to define technical requirements and timelines
- Contribute to open-source projects and present technical solutions
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in backend development with Python or Java
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture and event-driven design
- Proficiency in SQL/NoSQL databases and caching strategies
- Experience with CI/CD tools and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform)
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- Excellent communication skills and remote collaboration experience
