What You'll Do
As a Senior Software Engineer at Nexus Innovations, you will drive the technical direction of our products, mentor junior developers, and collaborate with product managers to deliver high-quality software.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable software applications using modern frameworks.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and architecture design to deployment and maintenance.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, Design, QA) in Boston and Virginia to define feature requirements and user stories.
- Conduct thorough code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Identify technical risks and implement solutions to ensure system reliability and security.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of our engineering processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a focus on JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Strong proficiency in front-end frameworks such as React or Angular.
- Experience with back-end technologies, preferably Node.js or Python.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Deep understanding of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
