Responsibilities
- Development & Maintenance: Design, develop, and maintain high-performance software solutions using modern languages (Java, Python, or C#).
- Code Optimization: Analyze existing codebases to identify bottlenecks and implement efficient algorithms for improved performance.
- System Stability: Monitor system health, troubleshoot critical issues during off-hours, and implement patches to ensure 99.9% uptime.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the day-shift QA and Product teams to define requirements and ensure seamless handoffs.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, API specs, and deployment guides.
- Testing: Conduct rigorous unit and integration testing to ensure code quality and security compliance.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience, with a proven track record in a production environment.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in object-oriented programming and experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Availability: Must be willing and able to work a rotating night shift schedule (typically 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM).
- Problem Solving: Excellent analytical skills with the ability to debug complex issues independently.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
