Role Overview
As a Software Engineer on the Night Shift team, you will bridge the gap between development and operations. You will be responsible for maintaining system health, implementing new features, and collaborating with US-based teams during off-peak hours.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy robust software solutions using modern programming languages (Java, Python, or Go).
- Debug and resolve complex technical issues that arise during the night shift to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with Product Managers and QA teams to define technical requirements and user stories.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code with a focus on security and scalability.
- Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers to ensure code quality standards.
- Monitor system performance and proactively optimize database queries and API endpoints.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Must be available to work the Night Shift schedule (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM EST).
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, React, or Angular for front-end development.
- Experience with backend technologies such as Node.js, Spring Boot, or Django.
- Deep understanding of SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and caching solutions (Redis).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- US Work Authorization is required.
