As a night shift engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of our production environments and deploying updates that drive our business forward. If you thrive in a quiet environment and love solving complex technical puzzles, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain high-quality code for our core software platforms using modern development methodologies.
- Manage and troubleshoot critical system issues during off-peak hours to ensure zero downtime and maximum availability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, DevOps, QA) to implement new features and security patches.
- Optimize application performance and scalability to handle high-load scenarios efficiently.
- Conduct code reviews, write unit tests, and mentor junior developers within the shift team.
- Document technical architecture and troubleshooting procedures for the oncoming day shift team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of professional software development experience with a strong understanding of software design principles.
- Proficiency in Java, Python, or C++.
- Strong experience with AWS or Azure cloud services and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid night shift environment with high self-discipline.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
