Responsibilities
- Architect and implement scalable microservices using Java, Python, and Go
- Optimize cloud infrastructure on AWS/GCP for 99.99% uptime SLAs
- Lead CI/CD pipeline automation using Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Mentor junior engineers during shift handovers and knowledge transfers
- Conduct post-incident reviews and implement preventive measures
- Collaborate with global teams across 3 time zones during overlap periods
- Own system reliability for critical production environments
Qualifications
- 5+ years of backend development experience in distributed systems
- Expert proficiency in at least one JVM language (Java/Scala/Kotlin)
- Strong foundation in cloud-native architecture and DevOps practices
- Experience with event-driven systems and message queues (Kafka/RabbitMQ)
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex production issues under pressure
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- Comfortable working independently during night shift hours
