Responsibilities
- System Maintenance: Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues on our backend systems during off-peak hours to ensure 99.99% uptime.
- Code Deployment: Execute CI/CD pipelines and deploy code updates safely to production environments without impacting daytime operations.
- Performance Tuning: Analyze system logs and database metrics to optimize application performance and reduce latency.
- Security Audits: Conduct nightly security scans and patch management to protect sensitive data against emerging threats.
- Documentation: Update technical documentation and runbooks to reflect the latest system configurations and changes.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience: 4+ years of professional software development experience, specifically with backend technologies.
- Programming: Proficiency in Java, Python, or C#. Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Cloud: Strong working knowledge of AWS or Azure cloud services and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Availability: Must be willing and able to work rotating night shifts (e.g., 10 PM - 6 AM or 11 PM - 7 AM).
