What You Will Do:
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for architecting, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions. You will work closely with product managers and designers to translate complex requirements into elegant, scalable code.
Responsibilities
- Design & Development: Architect and implement scalable, high-performance software applications using modern technologies and best practices.
- Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code; conduct code reviews to ensure high standards across the team.
- Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams (product, design, QA) to define features, troubleshoot issues, and deliver projects on time.
- Optimization: Analyze system performance and identify areas for optimization, refactoring, and architectural improvement.
- Testing: Develop comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure system reliability and stability.
- Mentorship: Guide junior developers and provide technical mentorship to foster a culture of continuous learning.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
- Tech Stack: Proficiency in Python, Java, or JavaScript (React or Node.js preferred) and experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical and debugging skills with a proven track record of solving complex technical challenges.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Location: Must be authorized to work in the United States; willing to work in the Washington, DC area or hybrid (DC/Remote).
