Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable backend services using Java/Spring Boot and AWS cloud infrastructure
- Lead API development for real-time financial data processing systems
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews to maintain quality standards
- Optimize database performance for high-throughput transactional systems
- Implement security best practices for PCI-DSS compliant financial applications
- Collaborate with product teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Participate in CI/CD pipeline improvements and DevOps practices
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in backend software development with Java/Spring
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and microservices architecture
- Strong background in relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and caching strategies
- Experience with financial systems or high-throughput transactional applications
- Proficiency in testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito) and TDD methodologies
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments
