In this role, you will architect systems that process millions of market data points per second, ensuring our traders have a competitive edge in the complex options market.
Responsibilities
- Design & Build: Architect and implement ultra-low latency trading systems and order management systems (OMS) specifically tailored for equity options derivatives.
- Optimization: Profile, analyze, and optimize core trading engines to minimize latency and maximize throughput.
- Integration: Integrate seamlessly with external market data providers and exchanges via FIX and proprietary protocols.
- Development: Develop robust pricing models and risk management tools using Python and C++.
- Maintenance: Ensure 99.999% system availability and monitor real-time health metrics of the trading floor.
- Collaboration: Work closely with quantitative analysts and traders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in software development, specifically in low-latency or high-frequency trading environments.
- Skills: Expert proficiency in C++ and Python; strong knowledge of multithreading and asynchronous programming.
- Finance: Deep understanding of equity options pricing, Black-Scholes models, and market microstructure.
- Infrastructure: Experience with distributed systems, message queues (Kafka/RabbitMQ), and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Tools: Proficient with Linux environments, shell scripting, and version control (Git).
