The Role
You will be responsible for developing and maintaining the core engines that power our equity options trading strategies. Your code will directly impact the firm's profitability and market position.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance software systems for equity options execution and risk management.
- Optimize algorithmic trading strategies to minimize latency and maximize throughput in volatile market conditions.
- Collaborate closely with quantitative analysts and traders to translate financial models into efficient code.
- Implement and monitor robust monitoring and alerting systems to ensure 99.99% system availability.
- Mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews to maintain high engineering standards.
- Debug complex issues in distributed systems and implement scalable solutions for data ingestion and processing.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, preferably in finance, fintech, or high-frequency trading.
- Strong proficiency in Python, C++, or Java.
- Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, and operating system concepts.
- Experience with financial markets, specifically equity options and derivatives pricing models (Black-Scholes, Binomial models).
- Familiarity with Linux environments, Docker, and cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
