Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain low-latency trading algorithms and execution systems for equity options.
- Optimize existing codebases to reduce latency and improve throughput in real-time market data feeds.
- Collaborate with quantitative analysts to translate complex mathematical models into efficient software.
- Monitor system performance during night shifts to identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure robust error handling and disaster recovery protocols for mission-critical trading platforms.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior engineers to maintain high engineering standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, preferably in FinTech or High-Frequency Trading (HFT).
- Strong proficiency in C++ or Java with a deep understanding of memory management and multi-threading.
- Experience with financial derivatives, options pricing models, and market data handling.
- Familiarity with Linux environments, shell scripting, and real-time data pipelines (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
- Ability to work effectively in a night shift environment with rotating schedules.
