Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust APIs and microservices for our equity options management platform.
- Collaborate with product managers and designers to translate complex financial concepts into intuitive user experiences.
- Optimize database queries and system architecture to ensure sub-millisecond response times for critical trading and vesting calculations.
- Implement rigorous testing strategies (unit, integration, end-to-end) to guarantee data integrity and system reliability.
- Mentor junior developers, conducting code reviews and fostering a culture of technical excellence.
- Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Ensure full compliance with financial regulations and security standards within our software ecosystem.
Qualifications
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a focus on backend development.
- Proficiency in Python, Java, or Go.
- Experience with distributed systems, message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Familiarity with financial software development, equity compensation systems, or fintech is a significant plus.
- Demonstrated ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote-first hybrid environment.
