Responsibilities
- Design and implement cloud-native microservices using Java/Spring Boot and AWS
- Lead code reviews and drive technical excellence through CI/CD pipelines
- Mentor 3+ junior engineers through pair programming and architecture workshops
- Optimize system performance using Kubernetes and container orchestration
- Collaborate with product teams to translate business requirements into technical specs
- Implement security best practices and compliance frameworks (HIPAA/GDPR)
- Contribute to open-source projects and present at tech meetups
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Java development with Spring Boot
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and microservices architecture
- Strong knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
- Proven track record of leading CI/CD implementations with Jenkins/GitLab
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform)
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- Excellent problem-solving skills with system design expertise
