Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable microservices using Java/Spring Boot and AWS infrastructure
- Lead technical planning for new product features and system enhancements
- Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and architectural discussions
- Optimize application performance and troubleshoot complex production issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Product, UX, DevOps) to deliver end-to-end solutions
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and maintain high standards of code quality
- Stay current with emerging technologies and contribute to engineering best practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience (MS preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in backend development with Java and Spring Boot
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and microservices architecture
- Strong understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL) and caching strategies
- Experience with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines
- Proven track record of mentoring technical teams and driving engineering excellence
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail and scalability
- Portfolio demonstrating complex system design and implementation projects
