Responsibilities
- Design and implement microservices using Node.js, Python, and Go
- Lead cloud migrations to AWS/GCP with CI/CD automation
- Mentor 3-5 junior engineers through pair programming and code reviews
- Optimize database performance (PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and caching strategies
- Develop RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints for enterprise clients
- Implement robust security protocols (OAuth2, JWT, encryption)
- Collaborate with product teams using Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Contribute to open-source projects and technical publications
Qualifications
- 8+ years of professional software development experience
- Expertise in cloud architecture (AWS/GCP/Azure) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Strong proficiency in at least two backend languages (Python/Java/C#)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions)
- Deep understanding of distributed systems and scalability patterns
- Government security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
- Portfolio demonstrating complex system architecture projects
