Responsibilities
- Architect and implement RESTful APIs using Node.js/Express and Python/Django
- Optimize database performance with PostgreSQL and Redis caching strategies
- Lead CI/CD pipeline improvements using Jenkins and Kubernetes
- Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and pair programming
- Implement security best practices including OAuth2 and JWT
- Conduct load testing and performance tuning for high-traffic systems
- Contribute to open-source projects and technical blog content
Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in backend development with Node.js/Python
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/GCP) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Strong background in microservices architecture and event-driven design
- Proficiency with testing frameworks (Jest, PyTest) and TDD methodologies
- Experience with financial systems or fintech applications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
