Responsibilities
- Design and implement microservices using Go, Python, and Kubernetes
- Mentor 3-5 junior engineers through pair programming and code reviews
- Optimize cloud infrastructure on AWS/GCP for 99.99% uptime SLAs
- Lead architecture decisions for real-time data pipelines using Kafka and Redis
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and Terraform
- Collaborate with product teams to translate business requirements into technical specs
- Contribute to open-source projects and present at tech meetups
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in CS or equivalent with 5+ years of backend development
- Expertise in distributed systems and container orchestration (Docker/K8s)
- Proficiency in at least two of: Go, Python, Java, or Rust
- Strong background in AWS/GCP services (EC2, S3, Lambda, GKE)
- Experience with event-driven architectures and message queues
- Track record of shipping production systems handling 10k+ RPS
- Excellent problem-solving skills with system design interview experience
- Portfolio demonstrating open-source contributions or technical blogs
